Default Will there be new sets of "Super expensive" armors in Factions?

Just wondering will there be new sets of armors like the ones in Fissure Of Woe? Because i just got enough materials and cash for them, but also Factions is coming soon so i thought that I'd save them for the new sets?

So uh.. any rumours about it?

Thanks in advance

Release is months away. No one knows yet. Asking these sort of questions is rather stupid.

lol I'm reserving spending too much till I see what armour is available on the beta weekend. I'd say that Assassin and Ritualist will get FoW or at least the equiv. As for whether the core characters will have access to "new FoW" type armour, I've no idea.

Well, I'm not too concerned with FoW.. But I think this is what GW will do, they have a "Temple of Ages" In Cantha, in a sort of nuetral zone. And it'll be basically the same as the GW one, except FoW will have Assassin and Ritualist armor. I hope theres an equavilant to Droknar's Forge too.. In my opinion 15k is more worth it then fow, 1/8th of the price basically, and in some cases they look cooler too. So I'm just keeping about 450k in lock down, and spending only when it goes over the 450k mark.

i've already reserved as of now about 401 k for new armor for my ranger/and if they do it for pets, my warrior and assassin. and for weapons since all the costs and materials may or may not be different, just save up oh yeah and buy some rubbies and saphires as well.

Maybe they would add the armour for Assasin and Ritualist at the FoW..

but in Cantha, have a completly different kind of High Level PvE place which crafts something _other_ than armour?... maybe some Dark-smithy which crafts unique looking (and I stress 'looking') weapons and items!

You know that Hammer which the Gems stuck in the side?.. Maybe he could make a Hammer which is just one single LARGE HUNK OF GEM!.. with a cool Jade handle... that would look oriental ; )

Each Class gets half a dozen new sets of armor. Not sure if their regular, 15k or FoW sets. All I know so far is each gets 6.

(not sure about the ritualist/assassin)

I remember reading on their page somewhere that from Cantha, or somewhere in the Expansion, you get to travel back to Lions Arch and continue on as if it was Regular guildwars. So I believe that UW/FoW will still be accessable for Ritualists/Assassins. They Just have to go through Cantha instead of Ascalon/Shiverpeaks Areas.

I am also wondering if some of the materials currently sold in the game by merchants, that arent being used for anything right now, will be used in the expansion. i.e: Rubies, Saphires, Monsterous Eyes, Monsterous Claws, Vile of Ink. Stuff like that.

I tried asking Gaile when she was online, but it seemed PvP was her topic for that day. Oh well, i'll ask her again next time.

Yes, you will be able to do this if you combine Chapter 2 with an existing GuildWars account. However, people who only buy GuildWars Factions, without having the original GuildWars game, may not be able to access ToA, thus giving them the disadvantage of not being able to go FoW or UW.. So, I think maybe they will make ToA a neutral place accessible by both Chapters or (an)other place(s) similiar to FoW & UW will be created for GuildWars Factions (since it has to function as a stand-alone game).
That's just my thoughts..

We know their will be new armors, thats for sure, and I heard Fow might be modified, cheaper and with better stats. It's just a rumour though.

Gaile said one day that the gems WILL be have a use in Factions. So no worries on that. Also, I read somewhere that there were seven (7), not six new armors per class.

And I think they would be doing a disservice to the community if they did not include expensive, high-level armors like 25k and FoW. I expect it. I expect it to be different, but I expect it.

why do people ask for rumors? Rumors are not based in fact. The majority of rumors that have been flying around here are outrignt lies. All that rumors do is set up high expectations that result in you being let down later.

In response to the last couple of posts, I have a couple of questions:

1) What are you doing in this forum. Since the release is months away you SHOULD know that there is going to be a fair amount of speculation and rumours. Since you obviously don't want to listen to such things, why are you here?
2) Is it so hard to understand that people actually like to listen to these things? I mean the release is months away, and between now and then we have to amuse and entertain ourselves with something.
3) Why should we be disappointed? We KNOW that they are only rumours and speculation, barring those who choose to take them for the truth, we aren't going to get ourselves worked up over those that turn out to be false. GW is only a game after all.

My point is, if you aren't going to contribute to the conversation, or think that speculation and rumour are pointless, then please DO NOT post. You are not telling us anything that we DON'T ALREADY KNOW.

LOL Ivy, I LOVE expensive armour. I'm such clothes horse. What I really need is the storage space to put them all Especially since there are going to be new sets in Factions.

I'm pretty sure that Gaile said there was going to be something like an armour rack, but I don't know how that is going to work, whether it will be just like our weapons hotkeys or whether it will help increase our storage space.

Agree.

My currently problem is that, rather I should continue to save up for FoW, or, save this large sum of coin for the new ones from chapter 2.

This will also effect the price of the Globes of blah blah, I must deceide rather to sell them now, as I believe if chapter 2 has better looking armour, these Globes will drop their price.

Romeo, keep the ecto. There might be a use for them in Chpt2, there might not. But at least if you keep them you can decide later if you want to use them on Chpt1 FoW. This is what I'm doing. Since I've farmed most of my ecto collection I'm not too worried about price falling at all.
